“I tried hypnosis… but it didn’t work.” – Here’s why.

Not everyone has success with hypnosis… but the reason is NOT that you are incapable, or that your Hypnotist was incapable…

Hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness… we pass through it every night, just before falling asleep, and again as we’re waking up. It is not a “special” state that only some can reach.

A more likely reason for why it didn’t work, is that you didn’t understand it, or didn’t allow yourself into this state.

Your Hypnotist acts as a guide, they make it very easy for you to relax, and let go. But, if you are still holding on, not willing to relax, you will inevitably block yourself from reaching a deep enough state to access the information you’re looking for.

And, you might’ve not even realized you were blocking yourself… it’s as simple as thinking or analyzing too much, that’s all that’s needed to block the flow.

And relaxing is not just physical, it is also mental. Hypnosis, if anything, is a mental relaxation exercise. You must understand this, and be willing to go through with it, if you are to have any success.

But what if you were willing, and did have some relaxation… why was there still resistance?

You likely had some kind of expectation about your session, or your answers.

Expectations about anything surrounding your hypnosis session, will always block the natural flow. When you create an expectation, you create a box. You try to dictate how reality should look, and inevitably close your mind to any variations in your model.

And, it’s almost inevitable that there will be some variations in what you expect, because there are so many factors that effect the outcome of your session.

The best perspective to come to your session with, is one of no expectation. Be open to whatever may come, and by doing this, you open yourself to the highest possible outcome of your session.

You may have also been attached to the responses you were looking to get in your session. (this applies mostly to Past Life Regression sessions.)

If you had a question that you really wanted an answer for, you might have blocked the answer because you wanted it so badly. This would manifest as you anticipating the response when a question was asked, or judging a response that you receive.

Be neutral about your questions, have fun with it! If you’re trying so hard to get answers, chances are you’re expecting too much and lessening your joy because of it. Your session is meant to be enjoyable, so let it be by letting go of everything you THINK you know.

“I can’t stop thinking… I don’t think hypnosis can ever work for me.”

Everyone is capable of stopping their thoughts.

Every time you go to sleep, your mind is silenced. You might argue that you have trouble going to sleep, and sure, that might mean you are particularly more invested in the mental chatter, but nonetheless, you fall asleep eventually… don’t you?

The state we’re reaching is a state of non-resistance. Everything feels calm, and easy. It’s not hard to access this… in fact, the only thing that blocks access, is the over complications our mind makes about how to get there.

I assure you that you can absolutely reach it… but you need to be willing to let go of thinking in order to get there.
